If get styln's setup, he's go a main cranking bank of one battery and a house bank made up of 4 batteries and a 3 bank charger. So his switch should be off when charging, just so the house and main are isolated.

One charger bank handles the main bank and other 2 handle the 4 battery house bank. In reality, all the house bank grounds and positive are already connected, They have to be, or its a 3 bank setup, not 2.

Good point. Positives all connected on the same terminal at the switch. Sounds like its time for a two switch setup.

I actually plan on adding two batteries to mine, but two on each bank.

I have also considered adding a stealth charger.

I have had one on my bay boay for trolling motor batteries for years.

Being as we typically ride for long periods, its would be nice to be able to isolate those stereo batteries from the engine for possible feedback issues, yet still charge on the go.
