GSA vs Gates on VTX

I have an 07 VTX that I still love for its ski-ability and it's quite surfable.  I have been using a home made suck gate the past few years with good success, but have been thinking about adding an automated system.  Looking at making my own gates or installing tabs( GSA or Infinity wake style ).  Has anyone had experience on that boat with tabs vs gates?  I have read that I would need much more weight for tabs, how much?  Right now, I run full built-in ballast plus 550 bags in each corner, usually non-surf side about half full, and VAB in the bow.  I have a decent wake with suck-gate, good height but not real long.  I know I'm running a smaller boat, and that I wont get world class wakes, I just want to get a good wake that is automated.

IMO GSA is better.  Surf gates makes a great wave but GSA makes a long powerful wave and you don’t need to throw a ton of weight at it.  I used to run 5700 pounds but discovered running everything half full made a better wave but lost a little power.  But the improvement in the lip was worth it.
