Black box and dsp connections

There is actually a post on here where a member found a place that has those connectors to which he produced his own RCA adapters for a fraction of Exiles price.   The post even had the pinout for the connector.  I will try and search for it and repost.

That one had everything but the pin out. Very helpful though.I thought the pin out would be on the amp but after looking the pin out is only the speaker output harness. Still need to figure out what the pin layout is for the signal cables.

Weird.  I remember my amp listing the pinout for the wires....  I will double check when I get home today.

PDFs usually have everything, just have to read it

I made both.  I initially made 3 pairs sold 2 used one myself.  I hear Exile is on back order so I am considering making more if I can get enough interest.

Just made ours over the weekend.

Got everything wired up and working....sounds so freakin' awesome and we haven't even had time to tune it!

I added two WS SYN-DX2.3...one for 4 REV 10s on the tower and one for a REVO 12 XXX.

I wanted to continue using the factory SYN-DX4 for interior so the Exile plug didn't help...I used a TE Connectivity AMP Connector 14 pin female and a TE Connectivity AMP Connector 14 pin male to split off a lead and RCAs for the sub amp and then go right back into the factory SYN-DX4.

The channel input and remote pin-out was actually printed on my Malibu factory amps.

Here's are the items I purchased for the harness plugs. A big THANK YOU to those who have already done this and who commented above.

TE Connectivity AMP Connector 1-776276-1 (8 pin for tower inputs)

TE Connectivity AMP Connector 1-776262-1 (14 pin for interior and sub inputs)
https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/1-776262-1/A106523-ND/1893358

TE Connectivity AMP Connector 776273-1 (14 pin male to go back into Malibu factory SYN-DX4....you won't need this if you're replacing your Malibu WS amp for the interior speakers)
https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/776273-1/A106371-ND/2054403

I mistakenly ordered the wrong connection sockets so I ended up soldering the joints.  In the female TE Connectivity AMP Connectors the pins do pull out for easy soldering.

But, if you don't want to solder I believe you could get either of these depending on the material you want to use:

https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/te-connectivity-amp-connectors/770854-1/A106370-ND/2054401

You'll need these for channel inputs into the new (non-malibu) amps. You may need multiple depending on your application...i used two.

Rockford Fosgate RFI2SW Adapter Cable from Speaker Wires to RCA Plug
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009B8EJYU/

You'll need a few feet of 18ga for the remote wire(s).

Kolossus Kable 18 Gauge Blue Primary / Remote Wire (or similar)
http://www.knukonceptz.com/search-results/sp/kolossus-kable-18-gauge-blue-primary-remote-wire/

You'll also want some heat shrink tubing like this to cover connections (soldered or crimped ends)...but there are plenty of options:  (and a heat source)
https://www.amazon.com/560PCS-Heat-Shrink-Tubing-Eventronic

I don't think TE has a back for the plugs despite having what they call a "backshell", but I'm going to play around with the 3d printing files @pbnj429 has kindly offered to the group.

I made a few of these adapters and will have some for sale(10 currently). See the classifieds section for the listing. Please look there and PM me with any questions. Also have the adapter to use your factory DSP amp in non original locations (ie. sell your amp)
