VLX 2009 floor vs. VLX 2010 floor (GatorStep)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Is there some difference in the interior (floor dimensions) of 2010 VLX compared with 2009 VLX?

I'm asking this due to a tempting GatorStep group buy in the Facebook group "Malibu & Axis Boat Owners". The GatorStep web page tells they do have the floor template for 2010-2014 VLX, but not for 2009 VLX (my boat). I'm wondering if 2010 floor dimensions would be the same as in 2009. (If I remember right at least the hull is the same for the both of these model years.)

Many Thanks!

Are your seat bases and drivers seat removable? If they are every boat is a little different. You could always as for the template and see how it fits and modify if needed.

I'm currently working on install gator step in my 2004 VLX.

You know there's currently a Group Buy going on here at TheMalibyCrew.com as well, Right? Go to the last post in this thread.

Ok, thanks. It seems to be "the same" group buy, somehow I had missed it in TMC.

At least drivers seat is removable. I'm not fully sure about the seat bases.

My problem with this operation is that I'm living in Finland: sending templates back and forth is a major head-ache and cost... For me it might be easier to order the floor based on the template of another 2009 VLX and then move the drivers seat based on the template (if needed).

I would get one template from them and see how it fits. A template is far cheaper than the material and you can adjust a template you can't adjust the gator step once it's cut. You get what you get.
