Centre ballast reading zero - help?

Hey crew.  So we were out today and switching between beginner and advanced settings a few time.  The centre ballast now says 0% and does not seem to budge.  We had to pack up so I couldn't check much - is there a way of trying to fill the tank when the boat is on the trailer?  I'm not sure if the pump is filling (turns on - I can hear it) or not, or whether the float level is stuck.  It's a pain (ie 40 drive etc) to get to water so need to check it before we head out again.  TIA 👍  Oh it's a 2015 22VLX

Use the/a fake a lake that you would use to run the boat on dry land. The water pressure from the hose will easily prime the pump.

Thanks mate - not too sure if I understand.  The only "fake a lake" I a man used to was some ear muffs that I used to put on the leg of my old stern drive.  My Malibu has a hole in the side that I connect an adaptor to and then run to hose to flush the exhaust - but as far as I know that goes nowhere near the input hole for the ballast tanks?  Am I missing something?

You must have the external engine flush kit. What you will be looking for is basically a “dunny plunger” with an extendable handle. A hose screws in to the rubber plunger cup and you can push it up into whatever hull intake port you need. Good luck.
