Can you tow on the road with the g3.5 tower folded down and locked?

Can you tow on the road with the g3.5 tower folded down and locked? and does the cover go over the tower?

i assume also the swivel seat is needed as well for this.  I have seen the g4 tower is so easy to fold down with the actuator assists, but can't it still be dropped if your not holding it? For example, would the tower hold still if you had it half way lowered?

Cannot answer your question on the g3.5.

I own a G4 tower.  The tower will not "fall down" if unlocked while boat on trailer is standing still.

To lower the tower requires someone to pull down on the tower as the assisting shocks keep the tower from lowering quickly.  Once the tower is fully down someone needs to push in the locking mechanism at the base to keep the tower in the down position.  Otherwise at least in my case the tower creeps up a few inches but no more.  I have driven both with the tower up and down.  No seat changes are required.  The tower clears the seat completely, does not hit the dash or steer wheel either.

Also there are two covers available for the G4 from CS.  One for tower up and one for tower down.  One cover does not do both.  Dealer recommended the tower up cover if you want to tow with a cover.  Hope that helps.

FYI the G4 is ok to trailer with down however, i highly recommend strapping it down all the way. the locked down position seems to be about t 2-3" inches up from full down, on various roads the tower bumps up/down and you can see the fiberglass deck shaking, IT CANT BE GOOD and can get violent on some roads.

also wish it locked on both sides so you dont see the tower twist during a bounce (if not strapped) down. Strapping it fully down eliminates that as well.

pulling it fully down with a strap eliminates the ability for the tower to bounce up and hit the locked position to only slam back down to the full bottom again.

does anyone know if this can actually be adjusted to eliminate that tiny travel/bounce?

You guysf that tow with the factory Commercial Sewing cover on. Do you use the Hangtytes while towing? I may need to tow in the rain today/tomorrow.

Thanks

I do just cause it seems to keep the cover nice and tight which then eliminates any flapping in the wind.
