2014 23LSV Tower Springs

My tower seems not to hold back when removing the big nuts before folding down. It is a 2 man job and as I recall the gas-springs (sorry, don’t know the right term) should soften lowering and ease putting it back up.

Are the springs replaceable? Or adjustable?

Thanks!

The struts are replaceable and is a hand tool and two man job to do. If I were you I would replace the struts with the highest weight replacement strut available for it. I originally had the OEM 215 lb struts and replaced them with the 275 lb struts. The good thing with 275s is that they will self deploy and stay raised on their own, even with aftermarket speakers. The downside is if you have to lower your tower to get it into storage, you will have to pull it down and secure it in the lowered position somehow. Search on here for “strut” and you will find where some of us got them. Some of our Canadian friends have the metric conversion rates for the struts as well.
