Mux Switch Fault

Recommended Posts

I have a 2010 Malibu response that has a fault with the mux soft accessory buttons. It all lights up ok but when I press a button it changes to “on” only momentarily before changing back to “off” & the accessory doesnt go on at all. I can’t get any of my bilge, nav lights, horn, heater, dash lights etc to work.

Has anyone had a similar problem & how did you fix it?

regards

Nick

I have the same issue with my 08 23lsv. It happens often while on the water. I turn the perko off for a few seconds then back on. It resets itself for a few hours.

sounds like your MUX is going out.  has the MUX ever been wet from say a rain storm?  I was in a rain storm on the water and had the bimini up and quickly parked it at a dock and went inside.  I thought I was safe from dash getting wet but apparently the right front corner of my bimini leaked right onto the mux controller and shorted it out.  It was acting intermittent and finally had to buy another from Bakes.  Those little guys are $$$ too.
