WS-MC 1 DIN Cable

I just received my MC1. Very nice unit. Well constructed.

Is the DIN cable just a normal DIN Cable? Of course like everyone else has said, it's not long enough.
Can I use the stock one I have from the old head unit to the JBL black box? I'm SURE WS didn't re-engineer a DIN cable just to make it proprietary.

Also, I knew it had 4 zones....what could/would the 4th zone be used for?
1-Main inboat
2-Tower
3-Sub
4-????

Its proprietary. They have an extension cable, did no one mention that?

Bow zone or disable it it if not needed.

OH they mentioned it, at 40$ seems ridiculous for a 700 unit that they couldn't either include it and tack to the cost. Just like "It's 50 bucks and 5 to ship, or 55 and free shipping", or just make the included cable long enough to do what 99% of the people need.

Yeah! I kinda thought about a bow zone, but I'd need another amp to make that happen.

I get where you are coming from, but I dont think that many installs are going to require a longer cable.

Are they on the head unit now?

Actually that seems to be the only complain people have, from the 2 weeks I've read about it. I mean the amp board is under the port side on the wall, I'm obviously going to mount the head unit at the helm. No way that'll make it. I can't imagine anyone else having a shorter run. I think they really missed the mark there.

Meaning? All 8 inboats are off the 400x4 Rockford now. So when you fade to the "front" it goes to the tower and the inboats turn off and vice-versa.

Oh wait, the 400x4 has front and rear channels. So you could run one zone to the front and one zone to the rear and actually turn off the bow/walk way speakers. That's slick.
