99 VLX Starting Issue

I have a 1999 Malibu VLX.  Went out to to run it yesterday and it would not start.  Turns over great.  This boat has always started within 5 seconds of turning it over.  But I did notice that when I turn the key to the on position but not start, I am not hearing the gauges turn on.  I normally hear a whine for a few seconds and then the gauges start up.  Has my board gone bad?  Would that affect it starting?

Start with simple, battery get discharged?

Well, yes, now that you mention it, I had left the battery on and it died.  I had it on a charger for a few days and was recharged.  The charger was still on the battery when I was trying to start it.  Any connection?

Have the battery tested, it is probably bad.

You said no whine as in the fuel pump whine?  Could be a relay to the fuel pump if not the fuel pump.  Do to have a fuel pressue tester?

Definitely check the kill switch.
