Can your run the Indmar Monsoon 572SS LSA Motor on 89 octane gas?

I am considering upgrading my current 2014 24MXZ to a 2015 24MXZ with the supercharged LSA motor.  The one thing that concerns me is the owners manual states you must use 91 octane or higher gas for this engine and all the marinas in my area only carry 89 octane fuel.  I am not looking to lug gas cans to the boat every weekend, does anyone know if you are able to run 89 octane fuel in the LSA motor without risk of damage?  Also any issues to lookout for on the 2015 24MXZ's?  Thanks for the help!

@Nitrousbird dropping the wisdom!

Straight from the owner's manual of the '13 CTS-V:

If the vehicle has the 6.2L V8 engine (VIN Code P), use premium unleaded gasoline with a posted octane rating of 91 or higher. For best performance, use premium unleaded gasoline with a posted octane rating of 93. In an emergency, you can use regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. If 87 octane fuel is used, do not perform any aggressive driving maneuvers such as wide open throttle applications. Cadillac CTS/CTS-V Owner Manual - 2013 - CRC - 4/18/12 Black plate (49,1) Driving and Operating 9-49 You might also hear audible spark knock during acceleration. Refill the tank with premium fuel as soon as possible to avoid damaging the engine. If heavy knocking is heard when using gasoline rated at 91 octane or higher, the engine needs service.

Same 9:1 motor running 9psi but under even more load in a boat.  Yeah, I'd stick with 93.

My LS3 requires 91 as well. The one time I ran 87 (all the marina had at Lake Powell) it knocked hard enough I got a service engine immediately message.

Now I run octane booster when filling on the lake.

Looks like 1 bottle of that per 10 gallons of 87?    Hauling 20 of those around would still be a lot easier than 200 gallons of premium fuel for a week.

I have the Raptor 575.   When visiting lakes without 91 octane or better I use Torco F500010T Unleaded Fuel Accelerator.  Torco been making racing fuel additives since 1948.  https://www.torcousa.com/torco_product/un_acce.html

Great success using this.

Available on Amazon by the case or single bottles.
