Sub Kick Panel

Anybody know if Malibu still puts in the Malibu branded seadek driver’s feet kick panel if you do not get the factory sub?  I love the way that panel looks but have heard some conflicting answers on if the factory includes that panel if you do not include the sub as an option. I was planning to do the sub aftermarket.

You’ve got to get a box in there somehow. Not sure that hole is big enough to shove a decent sized box through and still cover the hole with that panel. The bow access isn’t much larger.

No, not saying that. It is the easy way. You might talk to Tim over at Scream Marine, he's local and does WSA's boats. He will know. You could always cut a bigger hole and have a custom plate made and have it covered with matching Seadek. I think that is what Todd did at WSA (see pic below). He might give you an idea as well. The factory box is installed before the hull and top deck is put together making that box not have to go through a hole to get it in that cavity under the helm.

The factory cabin amp is Cabins only or Cabins and Sub. The factory amp connections are propiroity plugs, no RCA's. You'll need to remove the Sub signal wires from that plug and route it to your new Sub Amp to get your Sub going along with a 12v remote wire to turn on the amp with your source. You could replace the factory amp with another amp that powers the cabins and sub with a plug adapter if you are looking for more Sub power.

I ordered the factory Malibu kick plate and going to cover with seadek or like substance.  Kewl since it is the Malibu logo and will provide a hole big enough to put my sub box in through the front.
