JL M880......How Much Power?

Thinking about swapping amps on my 4 JL M880 tower speakers.  On the JL website they "spec" 125W max but they "recommend" powering them with 150-250w rms per channel.  I have a Rochford T600-2 powering them now and they don't sound too bad.  Would a Rochford T1000.4ad be too much?.....or just right.

On paper, you are looking at about a 100W rms increase form the 600/2 @ 2 ohm x 2 v's the 1000/4 @ 4 ohm stereo. IMO, no, thats not too much power availability for an 8" coaxial.

From a $$$ to watt rms, consider a marine 2 chnl that can deliver up to 300W rms to each of the 4 pods. Being a 2 chnl, tower wiring is simpler with less conductors needed. It can also run summed mono.
