2010 LCR 320 How do you drain the transmission?

Recommended Posts

The transmission doesn’t get drained, just the vdrive. You can drain the vdrive by taking the hose off the raw water pump and holding it down nice and low. The vdrive hose fittings are mounted low on the unit, so when you hold that hose a lower elevation than the fitting, the water drains out.

if accessible, you can also remove the drain plugs on the front of the trans. On some boats, they’re too tight to really get to.

Are you talking about just drain it from the back on the boat when I remove the hose from the impeller housing?

Boat is in an insulated garage 40x50

so if I drain the blocks, water hose, remove J hose, and remove hose to impeller housing and press down on those hoses to remove water from V Drive... would that seem sufficient? Am I missing anything? Pull any hoses from top?
