2018 24 MXZ DIMENSIONS

So I thought I would ask since I am recovering from a couple bulging disk in my neck instead of crawling into the boat and measuring myself.  Does anyone have the dimension of the area underneath the dash. Also the size of the whole in front if you take the insert out.  Purchased a JL Audio 12W6v3-D4 sub and trying to determine what dimension will  fit through the front if the insert removed and more importantly what the usable space dimension are underneath the dash.  Thanks for any help in advance.

similar issue but on the 2019 24 MXZ it looks like if you remove the plastic black box behind the starboard bow seat back you could get back there to make a bigger box. Has anyone done this?

@roonedoggie Are we talking about building a different box or just changing the sub in the existing factory box?

For reference, here’s the factory box looking through that bow opening.

My opinion... you’re not gonna be able to put a new box in their without cutting a bunch of fiberglass (helm). I’m also thinking the w6 might be too much size for the factory box (depth & weight).

thanks for posting that pic. I'm just talking about a new box. It does look like I could do a bigger box if I got creative shape wise and glued up inside

Maybe... the tricky part will be assembling the pieces in that small cavity while you’re stuck reaching in from the outside. I don’t think anybody has done it yet. You could be the first!  Be sure to start a new thread with pics!!

I've spent a good amount of time in the cavity where the woofer is.  If it were me. I'd enlarge the hole under the drivers helm and put my enclosure in already assembled.  For a 12" woofer you need a 13'5" x 13.5" opening to get a box in the hole.  It would be much easier to fab up a trim ring to mount b/t the fiberglass and the billet grill that comes from the factory.
