This what I've done for 15 years. I would assume the manufacture is smarter than backyard mechanics.

LOL  I love that this poll is 50/50, I figured that would be the case.

I'd make it 51/49, if it would let me vote. 

Leave it dry, just make sure you put your brass plugs back in after all the water drains out so the threads on the block do not corrode.
