new trailer step material recommendations

So this off season I plan on replacing the rotten wood side steps covered with bunk carpet on my trailer.  There are four smaller steps, one on either side of the trailer wheels (single axle).  What have others used?  I prefer not to use plywood and carpet like the previous owner did.  Is there decking material that comes in sheets I can cut to size and screw in?  Also thought about stainless steel but that would have to be cut to proper size.

I am just going with good, repurposed marine grade plywood, a little stain, and skate deck tape.

Post a picture.

Ideas that come to mind are bed liner or gator step but can’t really picture your wood steps.
