Peacock 0 Posted May 6, 2005 I'm looking for some good up close pics of the bimini extension installed. I put mine on today, and it seems like the back portion is going to interfere with the tow rope. Perhaps I've done it wrong. Darn. Also I'm having a mini issue with the hole cut out for the tow ball being centered. Anybody else having any issues? Go to top
LouDoc 0 Posted May 7, 2005 Anyone have pics with the extension? I've not seen one so I'd love to see some. Go to top
Peacock 0 Posted May 8, 2005 The hole doesn't line up with the ball. I've tried to manually make the fabric center on the hole, but it seems to have a place it likes to set.In talking to my service guy, it appears that the extended bimini was never intended to be used while boarding. At least I now know it wasn't my install.I think it is kind of strange to sell a guy an extended bimini that he can't use while wakeboarding on his wakeboarding boat. It is unreasonable to switch out during the day on the lake, so it is absolutely worthless to me. So glad I bought one. Go to top
RogerQ 0 Posted May 8, 2005 This had an extended discussion on the old site, so let me summarize. The Bimini goes up best if you install the front two poles, then install the top mounts. Pull the bimini down ant the canvas will stretch to fit and you can attach the two down poles. It fits tight like a drum. I spoke with Bob @ Metcraft who was very helpful. It was not intuitive to me until Bob and I spoke now it is really simple. He was great and so is the extended Bimini. If you want pictures, PM me. Somehow I cannot post pictures on this site.Bob MetcalfMetcraft Enterprises(818) 504-6888 ext 101 Go to top
MARiley 8 Posted May 10, 2005 we've used an extended bimini while riding and the rope interference is minimal. Go to top
