Syn6 for the sub and other 8 speakers in the boat.  Unless the sub needs its own amp

This amp will deliver up to 600 watt RMS to a 4 ohm woofer. Thats a solid setup. So depending on the woofer. Or, you could run all 8 speakers with this amp, and drive the woofer with its own amp, again, depending on the woofer and your goals.

do you think 4 rev 10s is overkill.

thats up to the individual, so no real yes or no.

What would be an amp just for a sub?

That really depends on the individual woofer. The enclosure type can also impact the amp choice.

A P2D4 would be a dual 4 ohm woofer, so you would better off with a mono amp, going by its 2 ohm output. A 600W rms X 1 @ 2 ohm mono would my choice. Wet Sounds HTX-1 or Kicker KXA800.1 for example.

So just to recap:

Syn 6 runs 8 RF speakers in boat.
Syn 2 runs 4 8REVS
HTX-1 runs single Punch speaker.  Is HT-1 same amp?
Adding 1 420 EQ.

That's all I need right?

For 2 pair of Rev-8, id go with the Syn-DX2.3HP for more power.

I already got the Syn 2 but I guess I can send it back.  I thought I could bridge it making it 200 to each speaker which it the speaker rating for Rev 8?

any way you slice it, each of the 4 speakers will receive roughly 187 watt rms. Thats perfect for the Rev-8, but 300W really wakes them up.
