What boat to get?

Sorry newbie to the forum just after some advice for a boat and im buying in  the UK.

So here is the predicament.....

I am looking at getting a new boat and really like Malibu Ideally from my boat I am looking to wakeboard, wakeskate and wakesurf but still want a bit of slalom and barefoot. I know really I should be looking at a wakesetter but can only afford to get 03 or 04 age range. However the kicker is at my local lake I can only go on the section with a slalom course with a direct drive boat. So I either sacrifice the slalom course to surf or I sacrifice the flat water nice slalom course and the chance to get wake skating on flat water.    In the UK sunsetters are none existent but  there are a few nice responses around so just after some opinions.

Basically I don't know if I should go Wakesetter or Response.  I look forward to hearing what you think.

Thanks

It is possible to wake surf behind a Response; we do it regularly.  But you really can't slalom behind a surf boat (VTX excepted and even then with conditions like speed and line length.  At least not at your price point!

Of course it would be possible to create a nice 2021 foot DD that could do it all, but then who'd buy the 25 footers?  ;)

Ok cool I will have to see what is around as there does not seem to be any older Wakesetters at the moment. After a bit of thinking the guy that slalom and barefoots has his own boat for barefoot  and we generally do wake related sports eg skate and surf. Although we want the sheltered water that is offered on slalom lake, I have realised that older wakesetters are direct drive so I might get away with running that on the slalom lake as the rule is no v drives. Guess I will have to see what comes up. Thanks!
