RGB light question

I have a wetsounds RGB controller. I was told to ground it to my amp and run the positive to my remote wire. When I do I get a horrible buzzing noise in my speakers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know about all that.....  Not sure why you would integrate you RGB controller to your speaker system.  Has the potential to create all kinds of grounding issues that will translate into sound interference.  I have the same controller and run it completely independent of the sound system then Installed a toggle to turn on and off.  If you want it to flash to the beat of your music then run a 3.5 headphone jack/cable to an output on your head unit.

1st, I would not ground any 12V component to the chassis of an amp. Connecting the controller to the same ground source as the amp? Sure, thats fine. 2nd, powering the controller off the remote turn-on lead will likely lead to a popped head unit turn on circuit if you are not using a relay to carry the load.
