21 VLX vs 21 MLX for surfing

I am about to purchase my first Malibu and am specifically looking at the 21 VLX that they have in stock and questioning about the 21 MLX as far as a surf boat. I was super impressed with the wave for a 21 ft boat in the VLX. I have heard the MLX is better for surfing due to the 500 extra lbs is this true. Your thought would be greatly appreciated.

It is a personal preference of regular bow or pickle fork.  The MLX was not available when I got my 21 VLX.  I like that you can have two people facing the back of the boat when they are in the bow to watch people surfing.  I think the seating capacity is one extra human in the MLX also.

The wave on my VLX is better than I would have ever thought for a 21' boat.  For the little amount more, I wish I would have ended up buying the MLX due to more bow space.  I can't recall, is the MLX bigger overall?  Beam and freeboard?

Thank you all, I appreciate the incite. Both seem pretty great. what is the process to get a dealer transfer if I went with the bigger bow MLX. I guess I would have to wait as well
