Surfgate for Response LX?

Recommended Posts

Eagleboy99

Anyone ever devise a stick-on surfgate for a Response?  the step/chine is too small for the regular ones.  BTW, in case you are wondering it is possible to get a very decent wake off a wedge-equipped RLX with ballast, etc.  Just want to clean up the wake a bit.

This guy built one for an LXi.  Could try similar.

Interesting, but I am not keen on attaching to the platform.  I was hoping for a suction cup solution.  Thanks tho.

Here's a pic of my 17 yr old behind the Response.  300 lbs in the front; two by 500  around the motor and a couple old fat people like me!  :)  Ronix Koalfish is the stick.  Artsy HDR.  https://drive.google.com/open?id=1J0Kf-CG1OndG6uotJxYmZjVxJUWL6bGN

Older post... but waking it up I guess.  All the suction cups are 4.5" to 4.75" in diameter.  I've had several manufacturers tell me to just trim the top and bottom of the suction cup and it will be fine.  Sure... so if I go trim it and it doesn't work, I have a $400 piece of junk in my hands.  I am returning my Ronix suction cup version and picking up the velcro wedge this week.  I also have a Response LX and the steps in the hull don't allow for any suction cup attachment.
