Too much steam coming out of exhaust?

Recommended Posts

Started wakesurfing this year on our 2001 wakesetter, it seems as though the steam and CO really kick up behind the boat almost like a fog for the rider if there’s no wind. Is this normal? Turning about 3500 rpms surf speed. Engine temps seem fine at 160. Watching other boats, this doesn’t seem to be an issue even without FAE. Evenly weighted 750s in lockers with 500 mls and 650 bow sack up front.

This reminds me of the steam thread from a few years ago.  Back then (IIRC) it was from a Mastercraft, so we all understood.  Anyway, I think the consensus was that it mostly depends on atmospheric conditions.

It might be fun to discuss this again, so I recommend flagging down those other boats and asking for a free pull so you can take some scientific data to present here.

Oh baby this brings back some old times.  I think we concluded that this is indeed a plume of toxious chemicals certain to cause brain damage over time.  Let's have the experts chime in.  @Chrisjjbrown @Stevo @Pnwrider @inlandlaker @ibelonginprison @IXFE @NorrisMike @Afun. If I forgot you I apologize.  It was the brief time I spent with a steam ridden 2014 23 lsv that has scarred my amygdala.

I had my 14’lsv replumbed with nitrous oxide, for engine performance and the benefit by-product steam is like huffing whippets .

that appears to be what you have there. Enjoy 😉

I was already Brain damaged before I started surfing and inhaling steam so I was thrown out of the control group.
