Moonbeam Hull color repair kit looks grey, not white

Recommended Posts

WhiteWaterWeb

Hi all - doing a small nick repair on our 2018 21 VLX; likely from an aggressively tossed surf rope/handle.

Anyhow, I called Malibu for the Spectrum Color code match for the ‘moonbeam’ color, but when I received the patch paste kit the color looks grey in the bottle - not ‘white’ like my moonbeam top hull color looks. Moonbeam is more white than grey, correct?

I just want to make sure before I put this stuff on. Anyone else have moonbeam hull colors on their Bu’s?

Any help is appreciated.

When I did a small nick in the yellow on my mxz, the spectrum color didn't look exactly right in the bottle, but came out really close.  Can't comment on the moonbeam though.

This is what has me worried...have a look at this top hull color (this is my boat). This moonbeam color looks exactly like white....

FWIW, that doesn't look very white to me.  My boat has a white top deck, that looks dirty white to grey

Ok, so that does make me feel better :)

I did hear, before we selected our colors, that the moonbeam was close to white but not white...more dirty white.
