Surf Gates on 18' T22 - Acting up a bit

I have had a couple issues with my gates on my '18 T22, wondering if anyone else has experienced this, or has any ideas what the issue might be.

1. If the boat is restarted while switching riders, the gate goes back to center and you have to turn it on again. Maybe this is by design, but I think it's annoying.

2. Yesterday while riding, the gate opened up, but not all the way, causing a lot of spray. I had my driver restart the boat, we took off again and this time, it opened up for a minute or so, then closed by itself. Restarted again, then it worked fine for the rest of my set.

When you say "restarted" do you mean you shut the boat off while switching riders? If yes, then yes, the computer resets when you cycle the key.

Yes, cycled engine power. I wait for the digital screen to go blank before restarting.
