12" Screen flashing and, rubbing rudder issues.

I have been having a few issues with a new to me 2016 22VLX and having a hard time getting in tough with closest dealer in my area (still 3hrs away). The 2 major issues are: The 12" screen keeps slashing randomly every 10-15 seconds. I have checked the connection cable and is holding nicely. I read on the forum it is likely a firmware/software issue between the 2 screens. Second, the steering wheel is very hard when it get close to complete spin in one direction. I can move the rudder manually by hand except I can see it rubbing against the rudder box in one direction and hardly can move it to max angle in that direction. Does the rudder box need replacement or is there is an easy way to drop the rudder a tiny bit so it doesn't rub anymore? Thanks for your help.
