24/7 LSV Wakesetter wont start

Recommended Posts

My 2007 24/7 Malibu Wakesetter  was running great. stopped to talk to a friend, idled around a little. Shut off engine, tried to restart - no power at all. acts as if the batteries are unhooked.

Any ideas what it could be? Ignition switch ? Batteries?

Make sure shifter in neutral.  Check batteries. Charge and try to start.  Were you in the all position?

Check fuses as well,  not exactly sure what’s going on with my boat yet but has blown ignition fuse a couple times now which shut everything down.

this "no start troubleshooting" topic is dated, doesn't encompass any of the current electronics/screens/et al but there may be a clue to sorting out your issue.

might be time for those guys w newer rigs to chime in and get the doc. updated.

I'm with @Imracin68j -- we've all done it.  Key off with boat idling in gear then go to restart a while later and get nothing.

Does everything else still work?  stereo, ballast pumps, etc?

I just did this:  Going down the lake, everything shuts off.  No power.  Getting towed in I noticed I was in the 1 position and the battery completely drained.  I moved it to the All position, still nothing.  Then after being towed for 45 min, I noticed the shifter wasn't in the neutral position.  Fired right up.

The first part of your problem sounds like you have an electrical problem (miswired battery switch / bad battery / bad alternator).

I was getting a low voltage problem starting the day off.  Battery might have been low to start.  Between running 6 pumps, blasting the radio, the battery just couldn't keep up.  Now I run in all and I'm not having any issues.
