Assembling windshield

Recommended Posts

Fabricator909

Trying to get my windshield back together on my response, and the two peices that slide together from the wings to curved glass won't go. I've sanded the powder coat and they still won't slide. Anyone else have this problem?

I have not removed mine, but would some lubrication help?  Maybe water based so you can wash it away later.  Soap, clycerin, KY, etc.

What about gentle heat to slightly expand the channel??

I put the rubber gasket on the glass, then lubed the rubber with spray silicone to get in into the frame on the last curved windshield and frame I assembled.
