Screw Anchors

I am just getting into the market for anchors, I see alot of forums post of the Box Anchor. My question is do screw anchors work?

The only reason I like the idea of screw anchors is cause the there is one on each end of the boat. The sandbar I am at is pretty crowded so I feel like having two screw anchors will really hold it down.

I only do need an anchor for the sandbar, as i am never using an anchor anywhere else on my lake. The sandbar is 4 feet at its deepest point, but i will anchor in probably 3 feet.

Screw anchor is pretty single purpose, but if you only ever need an anchor in 4 feet of water then they should work fine

I just want to make sure that my wakesetter does not move in any direction when I have both anchors in. Everyone on my lake seems to use them and have no issue with them.

I use a fluke with an anchor buddy on the deep end & a Sandspike on the shore end. Plus have some anchor line available just in case. Works great in a lot of different conditions, different lakes, big wind or waves, etc.

The screw will work fine. But by having two, your locking yourself into one situation. If you do the same thing all the time, then it should be good.
