"New" upholstery help/question

After spending 10 days a lake Shasta (and having ash rain down on my boat), I need cleaning advice/suggestions from the Crew.  There are a few spots on the new white upholstery that didn't dome totally clean despite my wife's best efforts.  We both tried the Babe's upholstery cleaner, mild soap and water and even a little baking soda but so far - no joy.  Anyone have any suggestions as far as what they've used or are currently using to clean their upholstery?

I recently used a mixture of alcohol and white vinegar to remove some leaf stains. Lay a rag on the stain and pour the mixture on the rag and let it soak there for a bit. It oxidizes the stain so you can't see it, not really removing it completely.
