plug seal

Recommended Posts

So I am screwing out the boat plug today to let water drain at the boat ramp and I noticed the housing in which the plug sits is a tad loose.  Was wondering it I should pull the whole thing and seal it with silicone or epoxy?  I tightened the screws and will keep checking as the season tapers down but wanted to post a question if anyone else has noticed this in older boats.  03 Response.  Thanks

3M 5200 Marine Adhesive Sealant?

For removal, take out screws and pry with a putty knife?  I gave a minor effort already to remove and it didn't come out easy.  Decided I would ask first before I got out a hammer.
