Gas Gauge Not Working

I have a 2007 Wakesetter VLX and the gas gauge quite working this weekend , anyone have an idea on how to fix

When mine did this I lifted the cover over the gas tank & the ground wire from the sending unit somehow got disconnectec

I've never depended on boat gas gauges anyway. Mine has never been accurate. Way easier to just look at the tank and see for sure.

?????? Look at the tank level as a sight meter?  I’m lost how do you do that on the lake conveniently ?

my axis gauge my not be exactly  correct , it’s accurate cause I almost always know how many gallons based on gauge , and whe it’s empty I have 12-14 gallons left, could surf 2 more hours empty, just don’t

In a 2009 or newer boat it's possible to get the engine computer to tell you the fuel levels based on what's gone through the engine. A few of us spent some time to chase it all down:
