2012 A20 vs. 2017 A22

I'm going to demo a 2017 A22.  I am interested in how much of an improvement there will be from my 2012 A20 in the wakeboard wake.  I'm know surf will be much better with SG.  I've pushed the A20 to the limit by plumbing in a 1000 lb sack for on the bow in excess of the pnp set up.  Should I expect a big improvement in wake if I skip the on bow bag in the 2017?  TIA.

I had a 2013 A20, and I ride a 2016 A22 frequently. Yeah, it's bigger for sure, and a steeper/harder wake.

All depends on how you have each boat setup, though. IMO, both of those boats I prefer to run no wedge, SACKED out in the rear. Basically 1100 plug n play with some bow weight (we use 500 lb of lead wake bags in the A22). In the A20, I used a small bow sac that was probably around 3-400 lbs. If you skip the bow weight in the A22, I suspect you'll struggle to get the boat on plane.

I never liked the wakeboard was on the A20 with the wedge down. I felt like it prop walked badly and just didn't get as big. It's a little softer without the wedge, but the size always made up for that. On the A22, wedge down is a nice wake, it's smaller in size (IMO) but lippier and harder which gives you a strong boot.

I never use the wedge.  I think the boat will demo with 600s in the rear.  Definitely interesting to hear the difference in how we weight my 2012 to your 13.  I cant get enough bow weight with full 750s.  Never had a desire for more rear weight.
