2001 LS1 bad fuel leak

I have a 2001 Wakesetter with the LS1 engine option.  I replaced the fuel pump as part of troubleshooting another problem but now I have a bad fuel leak.  The electric fuel pump is mounted vertically on the engine close to where the fuel tank is located.  The metal line connected to the top of the pump just doesn't seem to be getting a good seal and gas fumes/vapors are strong enough (even from the drivers seat at 30MPH) that I think it is too dangerous to drive.  Does anyone have any thoughts on a better connection solution or different style pump?  Thanks.....

Don't pass go, don't touch the key, get it to an Indmar service center ASAP.  Gas is nothing to mess with - or try new things around.

@shawndoggyHonestly, no idea. Most I've done with the fuel system in 7 years is swap out the fuel filters a couple times. I've never even looked at the fuel pump or it's connections. 64x hours currently.

Wondering about a mismatch of the new pumps output flare to the existing flare going to the fuel rails.

I wonder if the fuel pump is the same hi pressure two stage pump like on my 01 monsoon engine. When i replaced it, there is a type of fitting like a reverse flare. I had trouble with leakage. I ended up redoing the connection and using a permatex avaition type liquid gaskit sealer that is rated for gas. I had to be cautious how tight i got it though. It did not fit and seal as good as an AN type fuel/fluid fitting.
