Had issue at the end of last year with fuel pump fuse blowing. After changing fuse boat run but not great. When you just cruise around seems fine until wot. And when pulling up skiers boat feels like it almost stalls for a few seconds them pulls ok. Boat seems like it’s down on power and using a lot more fuel than normal. We bought this brand new and has 86 hours on it. Has always had fluids changed yearly. Anyone have an idea what could be wrong? Maybe it needs new plugs but thought someone may have ideas? Thanks for help in advance

You mentioned fluids changed but when was the last time the plugs, wires, cap and rotor were changed.  Especially the cap and rotor can corrode over time.  Also the fuel filter.  I would also be curious why the fuse blew.  Might be the fuel pump.  It is amazing how ignition and fuel problems can mimic each other.

My .02 says fuel filters need to be replaced. If they haven't been changed in 13 years and the boat only has 86 hours on it (6.6 hr/yr) there is going to be a lot of crud built up in the filters. The crud buildup would cause the fuel pump to run with more strain and it will then pop a fuse. If the fuel has been sitting in the lines over the winter there may also be degradation of the fuel lines with a lot of rubber pieces/chunks at the fuel filter. Depending on what you find it may be time for some new fuel lines as well.

So boat is fixed. I put a fuel pressure gauge on fuel rail and with key on is 150psi. With engine running is around 135psi. Long story short the fuel pressure regulator was stuck shut from fuel corrosion and not allowing excess fuel pressure back to fuel tank. Replaced with new regulator and cleaned up the area which it mounts and all good again. Boat runs 100% better. Tons of pulling power again. Hopefully this may help others.
