First Malibu Project. 1995 Resonse

So I just bought my first Malibu and it is going to be a bit of a project. It is a 1995 Response hull and trailer that I just picked up for $700 but is missing the entire drive train. I've owned a couple I/O boats in the past but this one is pretty new to me. I guess the biggest issue right now is how to go about finding a good merc 350, driveshaft, transmission, prop, and rudder. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Once I get rolling on this thing and tearing it down I will document and post my progress as I'm sure that I will have many more questions to come. Thank you for any advice that you may have to share.

I'm sure others will chime in soon - but don't overlook the transmission.   Not to be snarky -  just didn't see it there.

I'm not familiar with the early Response models, but a very recent post by a member indicates he has a complete Response with a blown engine.  You both need a motor, but he has everything else you need.  There may be a deal to be made.
