Hull damage (wear)

Hey guys. I have a 92 skier. I'm wondering how serious the wear on the hull gel coat is. It is completely worn through in spots on the chines.  I think there called chines? The white Is gone, can see fiberglass. No leaks in Hull. I'll post a pic if I can figure out how. Basically wondering if I should fix this immediately or wait until winter. Thanks

Chines are the outside transition from the hull side to the hull bottom. Strakes are the protrusions in your pic.

 

I'd get it fixed before I dunked it this year. Water can migrate into the glass. Come wintertime that moisture can freeze, especially up there.

Turns out I'm selling the Skier now.  Just got 03 Response Lxi. Thanks for explaining chines and strakes. Good to know.

I've been looking into the repair a little. Would Marine Tex be the product to use to patch up the damage?
