It is not cheap but is saved me at least 80k I would have spend buying a new boat. I ride goofy so moving water around and filling bags was getting old. Only down side I have seen is how to justify an upgrade when my kid is older and I'm able to start spending more time on the water again. It took me some time to get dialed in but the wave now is awesome with just my wife and 30lb kid in the boat. Don't get me wrong, it was really good on day one but I was weighting the boat all wrong at first...

I demo every year.. I have come up with reasons to buy new... but none of them have to do with a better wave.. so it keeps me from upgrading. :( but should be  as I am not dropping 100 grand down on a new boat lol...

@cWonka, I have never heard of a dissatisfied GSA consumer.. You will get the best customer support and relationship from them. They have been in business for over 3 years that I know of and don't appear to be going away anytime soon. They are the factory option for MB boats. I can keep going on and on.. It is up to you, I just don't see that much different in cost when it comes to comparison. If you go with the ones from facebook, please post pics.

I know that you are using that fact as a selling point, but that points me the other direction.  I surfed a B-52 with GSA last weekend and I was very un-impressed.  Bigger, heavier boat than my VTX by far, but it had a LOT less push in the wake than my VTX with a suck gate on it.

I am using that fact as that they are not an overnight company and if something goes wrong that there will be customer support.. nothing more.. nothing less.... I have surfed plenty of bigger and heavier boats than mine that don't compare.. It is about how you set them up.. VTX is way simplier to set up as it is a smaller boat.. a bigger boat needs way more weight as there is more hull to displace, smaller boat needs less weight as there less hull to displace...

As stated to the op.. could care less if he buys the system and if does by the other..please post pics... my concerns would be that customer support that might be required or replacement parts and the company is no longer there.. which would result in more cost later down the road

I won’t turn this into a boat bashing discussion, however I went from a properly weighted 07 23 LSV with with GSA that had  a great wave to an 18 B52 (again GSA), and everyone that rides it is blown away.  Doesn’t sound like your comparison boat was set up right.

I appreciate all the input. I’m not going to pull the trigger on anything until Winter. Holding out that there will be some good Black Friday deals and I can pick something up as a winter project. I won’t go blindly into the Watersport Trim tabs. Like I said, there is a guy in Vegas with an 04 LSV that has committed to putting them on and I’m more than happy to wait and see his before/after. Similarly, I can see the “value” in GSA if it stops you from buying a newer boat, but I’d prefer to surf it first before putting out that kind of money. We don’t have any goofy riders so without a huge improvement, I’m fine to just keep using a suckgate or do my own <$1,000 DIY Surfgate with a couple of Lencos and glassed HDPE. The “Launch Mode” selling point of the Trim Tabs was another big selling point for me; does a duel GSA deployed setting provide any improvement to the hole shot or ski wake, or is that even an option?
