04 Wakesetter VLX Exhaust "Collector"?

My '04 Wakesetter rear exhaust manifold is rusted out. The manifold or what I would call a "Collector" is at the back of the motor compartment. My manifolds connect to this with the rubber boots then dump to the outlet. It looks like a 6" pipe and is the width of the motor. What is the part called and where do I find one?

That's it. Just a muffler huh!?! Can I eliminate this for better performance. Are there options?

I removed mine after installing the fresh air exhaust.  Really opened up the area for maintenance on the impeller and belt.

How did you get the FAE on?  I tried and could not raise or lower the wedge through the swim platform hatch with it on - so I took it off.

Yeah, I removed my wedge too.

I took the FAE off.  The wave is better with the wedge and the exhaust is only an issue if there is a slight tail wind.  So I kept the wedge.

Fresh Air Exhaust can most likely make you a set of muffler bypass tubes.  Call them and ask.  They did it for my 2004 LSV.  I really love the open space for working in the engine compartment.  I also did it with my 2014 Axis A24.  But both times I also had FAE on the outside.  I don’t want extra noise.... I prefer to hear the stereo.

My issue was FAE vs wedge.  It had nothing to do with anything inside the hull.  I would like the FAE but the wedge would not work with it.

I seem to have no problem accessing the raw water pump or belt and alternator.
