malibu speed control RPM presets?

Recommended Posts

Chris_B

So, after cursing the Malibu stock cruise control for the last year due to surging, I discovered last night that RPM mode is near perfect.  I jotted down various RPMs and their respective speeds, but is there any way to set RPM in the presets rather than speed?

I do not know about what control was used in 2012.   Are you using a perfect pass with a paddle wheel?    On my 2001  started having a surging issue which ended up being a worn paddle.  It would "stick" and release.    Replaced it and was smooth after that.

The ‘12 VTX uses a paddle wheel but it’s Malibu’s proprietary software and computer.  Tried the NL4 GPS puck last year with no luck.  I was close to pulling the trigger on the ZO plug n play for e-control ECM, but discovered the RPM control yesterday.  Now, I’d like to set presets based on RPM.

the old Perfect pass used RPM for slalom--used it for years, works fine but if you tournament ski you might want to practice with Zero Off.
