Anyone bought wakeballest seat riser?

I've got a 16 VTX and don't like how low my seat it. Even with the bolster up the top of the windshield is right in my eye line. And despite how much bow weight I put in it, the bow rise while surfing is still enough to make me stand up. 

Found the seat riser wake ballast makes and was looking to see if anyone had any reviews of it (didn't really see any online). 

I don't want to lose the forward back movement and the pivot I currently have, so I was curious if anyone has used it or had a better recommendation?

Make your own. 3" aluminum tube. Made my own end caps.

Looks to me like the one that used to be sold under a different name, since that is my boat in the pictures.  Works great.

Wow!  Didn’t this seat riser used to be $99?  At $249, who’s buying these?

No, it was never $99 as far as i know.

I just raised mine this weekend.  I went to a friend that has a metal shop and had him cut me 2 pieces of 4" square aluminum tubing (8" each).  The seat base is 8" x 8" ( on my 07 VTX ).  So, I bolted the 2 pieces together, drilled the holes and mounted the seat.  I haven't had it on the water yet, but I like the height of it while sitting in the garage.  I need to make an end cap for it, but from the side it looks nice and clean.  Total price.... $0.  It's good to have a friend with a metal shop.
