Squeaky prop shaft

HI There,

Hearing a squeaky noise from the shaft/prop when in gear at low RPM, noise seems to go away when I pass 2500rpm, I am guessing this is shaft packing related, any advice?

Are you sure it's a squeek instead of a "sing?"

actually you are right, it is a "sing" like noise

@formulaben is likely right, especially if that is a newly rebuilt screw.

sharp edges (i can't remember if it's leading or following edge) can cause the prop to sing.

a light file touch on the prop edges can cure that, if it's an issue.
