How long will bilge pump run on boat battery?

Recommended Posts

1998 Malibu response lx single battery.

How long will my single battery power bilge pump be able to run, and still have enough juice to start boat?

Boat parked at beach today. Seems like bilge runs every 40 min or so for about 10-15 seconds...

Doesn't answer you question, but fix the leak and it won't be an issue.  That's way too often for normal seepage from items such as shaft packing, ballast systems, etc.  Water in the bilge can make a rudder cable gum up and get stiff, so you definitely want to get that fixed.  Do you know where the water is coming from yet?
