Transmission heating up?

Recommended Posts

We are having our transmission in a 2014 VTX Wakesetter heat up and can't figure out what is going on.  We have pulled the inlet hoses to check the filter for the water flow, filter seemed okay, but the tranny is crazy hot.  This must be a flow issue, can't figure out where to look.  Not sure if it is related, but the rear shower works but runs so hot it will burn you and no adjustment will allow the water temp to be safe.  Any ideas???

@Lovemybu:  You should also remove the transmission cooler inlet hose to check for debris.  That debris can be rubber impeller parts which means you need to service that.  The two clues you post are indicating there is a cold water inlet blockage before the cold water shower hose T and the transmission cooler inlet.

Lovemybu did you figure out your overheating transmission issue. I have a 2014 Lsv that got so hot it melted the plastic dipstick. Impeller good and didn’t find any restrictions. Any help would be appreciated.
