PCM- Catalytic converter- catastrophic failure

2015 A-20 with PCM engine. 375 hours of total time. never a problem until it just quit, several 'service' attempts to find a no fire condition resulted in  replacing crank sensor. Put the boat in the water and it ran like crap for about 5 minutes, then MIL alarm. Took to authorized dealer and inspection reveals that both catalytic converters disintegrated, with the estimate at $4200.

If not covered by PCM emissions warranty, which it should, is there a gut it out option? Talking here about the "emissions" system. I know it regularly done with truck diesel engines ( delete of DPF systems  and reprogram computer to ignore the garbage "codes" that present themselves)

$4000 + every couple of hundred hours won't cut it!

First thing should be first...... what caused the failure? You should have the dealer figure that out first.

Cat converters don’t just fail on their own that quickly. Something else burned them up on you..... most likely a fueling problem.

if the boat had 5000 hours on it, I’d believe they failed from use. But both of them failing in a couple hundred hours, and simultaneously? Nope.
