Mask or goggles - good to have

Recommended Posts

Had some fun at the lake today, in mid run and all the sudden I hear the boat sounds like the prop fell off of it.  Wife turns it around to pick me up and the boat is vibrating like crazy.  Can't see much in the greenish water, but we keep a mask and snorkel in the glove box.  Find a 1.5" thick stick wedged onto 2 blades of the prop, apparently we cut the rest of the stick off.  Luckily once the stick was removed there was no vibration/damage to the prop and we went back to skiing boarding.  Mask came in handy, otherwise I would have been feeling around blind.

Mr. Overkill has one scuba mask and 3 pair of swimmer's goggles in the boat along with knifes, tin snipe, etc in case I run over a rope.

Glad everything worked out for you.

Mask / fins / knives / over equipped tool box / extra everything. the less knowledge you have the mores stuff you better have! I know very little about my boats workings but I have in the past had the stuff I needed for when a knowledgeable person came by at the perfect time.

Mask, prop kit and other assorted tools. Also keep para cord in the boat. Good for tying tools to you when working in the water, like the prop change we did in the middle of the lake Saturday.
