O Ring for Gas Cap

I was filling up with gas last night and the O Ring for the gas cap tore in half and fell off.  The Malibu dealer said they don’t sell just the O Ring and that I would have to buy a new gas cap.

He recommended that I check O’reilly’s etc to see if I can find one that would work since it would be much less expensive.  Has anyone had to replace theirs and if so, do you remember what you used in lieu of the factory O Ring?

Naturally, I'd try the O-ring store dot com.  Do you have a micrometer to measure it?

No I don’t and I need it by tomorrow so we can take the boat out.  Will probably go to Ace Hardware and see if I can match one up.

Ran over to West Marine this morning and picked up a packet of two.
