Need to purge fuel injection ?

Recommended Posts

Nope (well, not with any special procedure).  The fuel system regulator returns excess fuel to the tank as a means to keep constant pressure in the fuel rail.  That's why it has two fuel lines.  It should purge itself, but it will take several key cycles to do so (since the pump only runs two seconds when you turn the key on).  You can direct wire the pump to avoid that, but I just cycled the key about ten times or so.  If I recall correctly, you will hear the pump and regulator change tone as they void the air.  Once they sound normal for a few cycles, you should be ready to go.
