Repairing vinyl. Well, my first damage on flawless seats

Took my boat to a couple different tint shops to tint my 08 Malibu, both failed btw. I noticed damage today at the lake on the back section. I overly stressed to be extra careful getting in and out.  It didn’t matter.  Anyway, I can’t stop looking at it.  I saw a company, “we can fix that” does vinyl repair that’s suppose to look perfect.  Looks like they fill and spray dye it.  Anyone use this business before?  I could drive it back to Merced from Bakersfield. 3 hour drive tho. I hate letting people around my boat sometimes.

That sucks....the back seat stitching came apart on the seam of my 2014 really fast too....like within the 1st 2 summers. I installed a custom step in my back seat but when I was looking into it, a couple people recommended this "pad" called a seat saver....basically you lay it over seat and people step on it instead and its supposed to help keep vinyl from tearing or seams coming apart. It just was not enough for me since I was doing new vinyl and wanted it to last and look new for a long time to come. (sorry, know this is not the question you were asking...I cannot answer that but figured once fixed you may be able to do something to help prevent future damage).

There was something similar on a used vehicle I was going to buy and after pointing it out they had someone repair it.  At first there was a tiny sheen difference but after a month I couldn't hardly find it, now I couldn't, don't remember where it was.  Not sure who or what products they used but it can be done.  Hope that helps.
